Knit Kit - New Beginnings Cowl

Skill Level - Easy

This alpaca wool knit kit uses alpaca wool from British and Irish alpaca farms. Unusually, it's not a wrap around cowl, and you might want to add your favourite broach to glam up. The cowl uses a great stitch: so easy, but so effective! We recommend you knit this in the round on circular needles, but you can also choose to knit as a flat panel with long single pointed needles. Shown here in DK Superfine Sky Blue.

This cowl is from our Restful range, which is intended for stress-free easy knitting that means you can focus on the conversation, the movie or just whatever you need to be thinking about. Each pattern is simple to work with, and has been tested on beginners, rusty knitters, and the very accomplished. Everyone reports that the yarn is fabulous soft and lovely to work with and all the feedback is that the styles are very restful to knit, and lovely to wear!

• Optional extra - 4.5mm (US 7) x 100cm (40") circular needles,  and a tapestry needle to sew in the ends

As with all Gorgeous alpaca DK kits, it's warm and cosy, but lightweight and breathes well. The alpaca yarn has a small amount of 100% natural sheep's wool blended in, which makes it easy to knit with, and still retains that wonderful alpaca softness. The cowl can be washed by hand or in a machine on a wool wash at 20 degrees.
