Product Details
This wonderful yarn is part of our Manos alegrai sock yarn range. 'Manos' was created in to provide jobs for women in their rural hometowns in Uruguay allowing them to provide for their families and be independent while staying in their home villages and keeping their roots and traditional skills. As ar esult of this, Manos was made a member of the World Fair Trade Organisation in 2009. They spin and dye their yarns in cooperatives located in the small towns in Uruguay's countryside.
Each Manos skein has a tag with the name of the artisan who made it and the cooperative location. They are hand dyed to produce a rich colour pallette with the subtle irregularities which the hand of each artisan gives to it.

Really nice yarn, ideal for my purposes. Very fast delivery and great customer services. Thanks.
I am using this lovely yarn to make fingerless gloves, it's so soft and warm. I am delighted with it, looking forward to ordering some alpaca yarn next! Thank you, from Elisabeth Jean.
The yarn is lovely, beautiful colour and lovely and soft. I am knitting a pair of socks with it and just have to finish the foot of the second one. I can’t wait for the cooler weather to wear them.
I’ve bought two lots of this wool and if knits up so well and looks and feels luxurious. Colours are vibrant
One point to note - the three skeins were all the same batch number but all knitted up differently and there were colour variations. Afterwards I read the label which recommends using two rows in each skein to avoid colour mismatch. I knitted funky kids jumpers so on this occasion it didn’t matter
