Alpaca yarn (or alpaca wool as it is commonly called) is amongst the softest of yarns, it is the most sustainable of all textiles, and it is beautiful to work with and to wear. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are so confident you will love it that we offer a free return service if you are not entirely happy with your purchase.

We hope you find the yarn you are looking for. If you are unsure of the quaity, feel free to order as we offer 365-day free returns.

You can choose from various types of alpaca yarn from 4Ply lightweight DK in all sorts of colours, to a lovely off-white aran weight yarn, and a chunky yarn in a range of colours.  We also have our own Limited Edition 100% alpaca range from our own herd, but this sells out quickly so will not always be available.

All the DK and Chunky yarn we offer is of the highest quality either pure alpaca or with a small mix of sheep's wool. All the yarn is made from fleeces sourced from British farms. The 4Ply and Aran yarns are ethically and sustainably sourced from Peru, the home of alpacas. The animals are not hurt during the process and are sheared annually in the summer to their great relief.

What our customers have to say about our alpaca yarns

Ridiculously excited to have finished the jumper using your beautiful wool. It was a pleasure to work with and the finished jumper is so soft. And the colours… perfect. Looking forward to my next project with your lovely yarn.

Thank you very much for an outstanding product and of course the speedy delivery service and customer care

Thank you for your super customer care and I shall certainly purchase some more of this yarn from you in the future

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for the most gorgeous wool ever - Aran Alpaca Merino. I’m sending a couple of photos of the jacket I have just finished Easy to knit with and feels luxurious - thank you Caralyn D
The yarn is just beautiful, a delight to work with. I'm making a crocheted Granny shawl for my dear friend who lives in Canada. We are both animal lovers and I was attracted to your yarn as it looks as though your animals are so well loved and cared for, and I really wanted to buy as locally as possible. I also loved the fact that the yarn comes from two best friends, thank you for including the certificate of authenticity, she will love that! Its so incredibly soft as the shawl grows, it gets weighty and will hang beautifully. I'll send you a picture when it's finished. Thanks again, I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again in the future with more orders for your lovely yarn.
