Skill Level - Intermediate

This alpaca wool knit kit uses alpaca yarn from British and Irish farms.  It can be knitted in the round on circular needles or as a flat panel using single pointed needles. The wool comes with the highest recommendation from customers and is available in a wide range of choices (see next images). You can knit this as a flat panel, or in the round.

Sizes: Small - Medium - Large

Kit includes:

  • Cotton project bag
  • 100g (225m) Gorgeous DK yarn made from 75% alpaca/25% sheep
  • Pattern for this and two other lightweight hats 
  • Faux fur pompom
  • Optional 4.5mm needles, a cable needle and a tapestry needle

As with all Gorgeous alpaca DK kits, it's warm and cosy, but lightweight and breathes well. The alpaca yarn has a small amount of 100% natural sheep's wool blended in, which makes it easy to knit with, and still retains that wonderful alpaca softness. This hat, once knitted up, can be washed by hand or in a machine on a wool wash at 20 degrees.
